Wilson Tan 陈德贤
Disputes resolution lawyer with expertise in construction and family law
Wilson is a litigation and disputes resolution lawyer, focusing primarily on construction matters, tenancy and lease issues, as well as family law. He possesses a wide range of experience ranging from the conduct of trials in the High Court and State Courts, to arbitration and mediation.
Wilson has represented main contractors in High Court trials, acted for landlords and developers in lease and other property-related disputes, and handled insolvency matters pertaining to bankruptcy and winding up proceedings, including an application for appointment of a private liquidator.
Further to the above, Wilson has also represented clients in applications for appointment of deputies in mental capacity proceedings, acted for clients in mediation relating to custody, care and control of children, as well as maintenance and assets, handled probate and administration work, and represented the accused in criminal matters.
Apart from his commitments to Forte Law LLC, Wilson serves, in the capacity of a volunteer, as Vice President of the Boys’ Brigade in Singapore, youth uniformed group organisation and a charity registered as an institution of public character (IPC). He has also spoken and taught at seminars and night classes on construction law, wills and lasting powers of attorney.
Wilson graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB, Hons) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1997.
